Religious freedom allows the Church, and all religious communities, to live out their faith in public and to serve the good of all. Beginning June 22, the feast of Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, the USCCB invites Catholics to pray, reflect, and act to promote religious freedom.
Over the last six months, your generosity provided over $16,000 to feed the hungry; shelter the homeless; keep the lights on for struggling families; and distribute Christmas gifts to poor children.
Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday. On June 17, 2021, it officially became a federal holiday. The parish office will be closed on June 19, 2023.
June 24th marks the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade.
During the month of May, our average weekly collection was $18,627 (3.8% decrease vs. Apr. 23). You also generously donated to various important causes in our May second collections at $20,820.
