First Sunday of the Month – Second Collection – Mortgage Debt Reduction
This second collection is to reduce our $2.7 million-dollar parish debt, so that we might direct more funding toward other needs in our growing parish.
Yes, that number is right. Our debt has gone done by $875,000! A very generous and loving parishioner, Ella Mary Molter, left a large sum of money to the parish to reduce the debt that was incurred in building our chapel and hall. This gift encourages all of us to consider including St. Francis of Assisi as a beneficiary when managing our estate planning. The sooner we pay off this debt, the more funds we will have available to support other vital services in our growing parish. Thank you for your generosity.
