Pastoral Care Ministers – Help Wanted
Our parish family is currently in need of more ministers to the sick and the homebound. As you know when people fall sick or are unable to attend Mass, they still greatly desire to receive Holy Communion. Pastoral care ministers to the sick become the channel through which our parish family reaches out to our sick sisters and brothers. The priests, of course, do their part to visit, bring Holy Communion, and anoint the sick; however, we cannot do it alone. We need lay ministers to visit the homebound and bring Holy Communion to sick.
Furthermore, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to ensure that we protect the sick by being vaccinated and boosted. Our diocese, therefore, requires all extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion and pastoral care ministers to be finger printed, trained, and vaccinated. We greatly appreciate all f our current volunteers who offer to serve in these vital ministers. Please contact Fr. Athanasius (athanasius.kikoba@dsj.org), or call the parish office if you can help with this important ministry.
